The Braid Method

Then my life collapsed.

I spent almost 20 years building growth engines for companies. I had a C-suite title, top 1% salary, equity. Then my life collapsed. Not slowly. All at once, across every part of it. And I learned the hard way that therapy alone won't save you. Work alone won't. Money alone won't. Spiritual work won't. A new relationship didn't either.

You rebuild by braiding the strands of your life together, until they stop being separate and start reinforcing each other, form habits, a stronger foundation.

I'm building the Braid Method into something you can actually use: a way to identify your Meaning first, see clearly where each strand leads — past patterns, present problems, future opportunities — then build you a real plan and how to get there. We hold ourselves accountable, together.

Peace isn't what you land on after the rebuild. It's the tool you rebuild with — choosing what serves the version of you a year from now, not just the one standing here today.

Why the braid
exists

When I was in high school I went into a book shop to buy a book on witch craft. I had just had another dream which came true. My brother has the same skill. My mother did, too. I had since young years been exposed to my uncle Torbjorn who married an Indian woman and ran spiritual retreats in Sweden and climbed holy mountains to visit shamans. My father on the other hand was/is a business man, from a well established family in Sweden. The combination of my parents natures and ways of nurturing has been confusing and at times still is for myself. I grew up reading The Alchemist, The Monk who Sold His Ferrari, Sadhghuru and Tuesdays with Morris. I swallowed books on growth and self help.

As I backpacked South America after high school, I was determined to continue my work with charities, pursue studies in psychology and live a life with purpose. But this trip changed my life.

Having grown up in a life that most people would call upper class, my trip was liberating from an over protective and disciplined household. I was on a bus, passing through villages in rural Amazonas. I sat in the window looking out, as we passed a little mud house with straw ceiling. Next to it was a girl with her back against the bus, judging by her body and behaviours she couldn't have been more than 10-12 years old. She was feeding the animals in the little pen next to the house. The bucket was small but heavy for her.

Then came the moment of sliding doors for me.

She turned around to look at the noisy bus disrupting her chore. As she turned around, a belly the size of a 40 weeks pregnant adult pops out. We lock eyes, and we kept eye contact until I was out of sight. Me desperately wanting to jump out of the bus to save her, and her eyes seemingly asking for help. Something shifted in me that day. I felt a profound sense of unfairness. Looking back, this could have been a moment where someone's life shifted in the opposite direction; a moment to better themselves, a longing to help others, make the world a better place. For me, it did the opposite. I felt a reality check of how pointless and unfair the world can be, and how my efforts to help others was in vain. I decided life is so unfair, I have to look after myself and there is nothing I can do to save this little girl from her (seemingly) horrific destiny or others.

I went back to Sweden and immediately added a Masters in Business to my university studies. I pursued both psychology studies and business just to hedge if my mind would shift back to purpose. I quit working with Fair Trade Organisation and The Hunger Project. I entered Business forums and trainee programs. I worked dog years and applied discipline to work my way to an executive career and one of the top paying jobs in the world. I never had a premonition, Déjà vu or a dream come true since that day in the Amazonas.

Until 2025.

I left a job as Chief Growth Officer at a Private Equity backed billion dollar business. I realised I had spend decades building other people's assets, and I felt a pull to do this for myself. In the process of finding what this looked like, I interviewed for a C-suite roll at a company where I'd have 6bn PnL. I loved the company, the people I interviewed with, but the scope overall would maintain my past and not build for my future. I gave the headhunter this as my reason to terminate the process and he felt I was crazy. I hung up the phone smiling, feeling - no knowing - I was finally on the right path again.
